Small Group Instruction, Plus Cooperative & Social-emotional Learning
Students actively engage in collaborative activities that promote teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills by integrating Kagan's cooperative learning strategies and implementing small group instruction through Daily Three and Daily Five. Moreover, we embed the Second Step program for Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) into our curriculum, fostering emotional intelligence, empathy, and conflict resolution abilities among students. These approaches create a comprehensive learning environment supporting academic and social-emotional growth.
Dedication to Students
Greeley teachers and staff, some of whom were former students themselves, are deeply committed to the school's values and the success of their students. They go above and beyond to create engaging learning experiences and provide support in various forms.
Supporting our Parents
At Greeley, we actively involve parents in their children's education through programs like ESL and Spanish classes. We value family input and strive to create a partnership between home and school.
Community Engagement
Strong ties with community partners, such as the Chicago Park District and the Cubs, offer additional student resources and opportunities. Our active PTO/PAC/BAC organizes various family events, including STEM nights and multicultural events, further strengthening the bond between the school, community, and our families.
